In 2010 Eldonna donated a kidney to a virtual stranger, setting off a chain of kidney transplants. She published her memoir Lost in Transplantation: Memoir of an Unconventional Organ Donor chronicling her experience in hopes of inspiring others to "be the change" they want to see in the world. Eldonna also participated in a documentary titled "Perfect Strangers" that follows one donor (Eldonna) and one participant over the course of four years. Her debut novel, THIS I KNOW is scheduled for release in early 2018.

 

Eldonna now travels around the United States speaking upon topics such as:
